Make food without wastage!

Turn breadcrumbs into croutons

- Brush both sides of your bread slices with butter or olive oil

- Cut them into small squares and arrange on a baking sheet

- Bake at 175 C for 15 minutes

- Leave to cool and store in an airtight container

Bread Tip:

To perk up stale bread, sprinkle some water on to it and heat it in the oven for a few minutes.

French Toast

Ingredients:

6 thick slices of bread

2 eggs

2/3 cup milk

1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)

1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg (optional)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Salt to taste

- Beat the egg, milk, salt, desired spices, and vanilla together

- Heat a lightly oiled griddle or skillet over medium-high heat

- Dunk each slice of bread in the egg mixture, soaking both sides

- Place in pan, and cook on both sides until its golden.

- Serve hot!

Got leftover mashed potatoes? Make Cheesy Potato Pancakes!

- In a bowl, mix the potatoes, shredded cheese, egg, scallions, and 3 tablespoons of flour till they are form a mixture

- Divide the mixture in to 12 portions and then flatten into pancakes

- Coat pancakes with flour and fry for 3-4 minutes till they are golden brown

- Serve pancakes with a bit of sour cream

Make a fruit bowl with leftover fruits!

Or blend the fruits and turn it into a smoothie bowl!
